The Trough Creek Community Adventurers 4-H Club held a meeting at the United Methodist Church in Cassville on Monday, May 9, 2011. The meeting was called to order by vice president Jessica Heeter. A Dairy Goat Demonstration was given by club member Lance Barnett.
A report was given by club county council representatives Abbey Cresswell and Brooke Shee. Livestock tag day was completed on Saturday, May 7 at the Huntingdon County Fairgrounds. Club members discussed options for camp fund raisers. 4-H camp is scheduled for June 20-23, 2011 at Camp Kanesatake. The registration deadline is May 10, 2011.
A Showmanship Clinic is schedule for Saturday, June 25, 2011 to be held at the Huntingdon County Fair Grounds. Club members voted to pay for any club member who wished to attend. The next Alpaca Club meeting is scheduled for Saturday, May 14 at the Terrace Mountain Alpaca Farm at 11 am. A project education day will be held on Sunday, May 15 at 5:30 pm at the United Methodist Church in Cassville. A rabbit showmanship workshop will be presented by Brooke Emery. Each club member is to bring one showmanship rabbit.
The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 13 at the United Methodist Church in Cassville, starting at 6:30 pm.
