The Mini Whinnies held their monthly meeting on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at the Extension Office. Club members handed in their money from candy bar sales. The Top seller and winner ofthe limited ediciton model horse will be announced at the next meeting. Members were reminded to register on line with eData by April 1st. Then, club members worked on finished up their halter, bridle and saddle kits. After they were completed, a picture was taken of their model with their completed kit. These pictures are to be palced in their 4-H project book. As their pictures were finished, Leader Chris Armagost guided each member through the display of model's quizzing on colors, breeds, and disciplines. Leader Helen Boonie asked the members if they would be interested in showing their models at the Huntingdon County Fair and State 4-H Horse Show in Harrisburg in October. It was decided that everyone would show at the fair and members could decide after the District Roundup on August 21 and 22 if they wanted to show States in Harrisburg due to possible show time conflicts.
The next meeting will be Sunday, April 18th from 2-4 p.m. in the Extension Office Meeting room.
