On May 3rd, 2011 Southern Pride 4-H club held their regular monthly meeting. President Katie Anderson called the meeting to order. Curtis Starr and Dane Woodward led pledges. Secretary Hanna Booher took roll call and read the secretary’s report. Derrick Cramer gave the treasurers report. Under Old Business: Special guest Wes Planthaver joined our meeting last month to talk to club about Rabbit Projects. On April 12th several members attended a scrapbook project at Sarah Book Photography. Thank you to Penny Beam for overseeing and volunteering for the evening. Several members attended a tour of the T & K Custom Ceramics Shop on April 18th and started their ceramic projects. Under New Business: Leader Carrie Anderson reminded everyone that you must attend 5 club meetings, to participate and show at the Huntingdon County Fair, and to fill out forms for fair stall signs and give them to her of Lori Cramer before leaving the meeting, Dates set for the following projects are Tag day Saturday, May 7th from 9 to 11, tag day forms must be filled out and ready the morning of tag day, Three Springs Parade May 26th, wear lime green club shirts we will be meeting between Saltillo and Three Springs between 6 – 6:30 parade starts at 7, June 10 & 11 club camping trip at Cowans Gap, Showmanship clinic Saturday June 25th 9 –2:30 @ Huntingdon County Fairgrounds and a pool party July 5th. After the business portion of the meeting Hannah, Alison, Rebecca and Paige Parsons shared their dairy cow project. The club then split into groups to work on Livestock Projects. The Fegan and Beam families provided a snack. President Katie Anderson adjourned meeting. The next scheduled meeting will be June 7th at the Woodward Home 6:30 to 8:00.
