SPRING FARMS LIVESTOCK 4-H CLUB

The Spring Farms 4-H Livestock Club 's monthly meeting was cancelled for February due to bad weather. The meeting for March 9th was brought to order by Olivia Parks. It was held at the Community State Bank of Orbisonia meeting room. Gage Parks led the American Pledge and Brandon Erwin led the 4-H Pledge. Bryant Wible gave the Treasurer's report. Under old business, President Olivia Parks asked about who did or did not register on the e-date registration. Our leader Pam Morgan collected the fundraiser forms and Peanut Butter Meltaway candy bar money. Under new business, we had dates for our community service project to the Humane Society. On April 17th, items are to be collected and bowling on April 10th, 2010. Our leader then asked how the members' market steers and dairy beef were doing. We talked about who would need the Quality Assurance and Ethics training. Terri Grissinger will be at our May meeting. Our leader talked about donating $100 to the extension office for things at the fairgrounds. Everyone agreed. Our leader gave out the club tee shirts to new members and asked if anything else needed to be discussed. Next meeting is May 11 at 7 p.m. at the Community State Bank. Dalton Williams made a motion to adjourn the meeting and Gage Parks seconded the motion. We had refreshments brought by Michael, Katie and Heather Morgan and Brandon Erwin. Next meeting's refreshments will be brought by Bryant Wible.
