SOUTHERN PRIDE HOLDS PROJECT WORK DAY
On Sunday, January 15 the Southern Pride 4-H club met to have a project work day. We worked in groups on our project books and learning centers. The club focused on Quality Assurance identifing, tagging and tracking for livestock projects. A few members also learned how to make a fleece blanket and a scrapbook page.

Southern Pride 4-H Club
On January 3rd, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. the Southern Pride 4-H club held their meeting at the Orbisonia fire hall. The meeting was called to order by President, Kalee Anderson. Scotty and Deshane Goshorn led the pledges. Jr. Secretary, Mikara Anderson took roll call and Secretary Lily Yohn read the secretary report from the December meeting. Keith Anderson and Garret Cramer read the treasurers report. Special guest, Kayla Wright, Huntingdon County Fair Queen showed the club how to make butter and taught about farm safety.
Old Business: If anyone had projects to enter into the Farm Show Holly Anderson should be contacted. Sign-up sheets for the 2012 projects were available. The officers met to discuss the activity schedule for the year.
New Business: Activity schedule/budget of 2012 was handed out and motions were made to approve the 2012 schedule. January 15th was a project workday for all livestock and Johnson Hall projects.
Mikara Anderson and Raven Booher talked to the club about their goats. Game leader, Bower Sara showed the club a game. Adjourned by President, Kalee Anderson. Next meeting will be held February 7th, 2012, at 6:30 p.m.
