Southern Pride 4H has Successful Fundraiser
The Southern Pride 4H Club recently held a ham and cheese sandwich sale. Orders were taken from October through November. At the November meeting, members gathered to make the sandwiches to fill the orders. Over 800 sandwiches were made in a time period of an hour and a half. Everybody worked very hard for this fundraiser. Due to the terrific teamwork of the club, this was a successful sandwich sale.

The Trough Creek Community Adventurers 4-H Club held a meeting at the United Methodist Church in Cassville on Monday, November 8, 2010. The meeting started with the reopening of officer nominations, followed by the election of the 2011 TCCA 4-H Club Officers. The elections results are as follows: President – Cora Waite, Vice President – Jessica Heeter, Secretary – Abbey Cresswell, Treasurer – Kayla Morgan, Historian – Natalee Buckley, Recreational Leaders – Tommy Zinobile and Katrina Bliss.
A report on the 4-H awards banquet was given for members who were unable to attend. Awards and project books were also returned to members. Shelly Waite spoke with the members regarding the 2011 4-H online e-data registration. A pizza party in January will be given if all club members complete the online registration by January 1, 2011. Tag day for the 2011 market steer projects is set for Saturday, November 20, 2010 from 8:00-11:00 am at the Huntingdon County Fair Grounds.
The clubs Christmas wreath fund raiser is in progress. Delivery is scheduled for Saturday, December 4, 2010. A committee for the clubs 2011 calendar of events was discussed and formed of the 2011 officers and several leaders. A meeting for the committee will be held before the end of the year.
Members got together on Sunday, November 14, 2010 to work on community service projects. Members donated fleece material and made throws to be given out over the Holidays. Any member wishing to donate material or completed throws can still do so at the December meeting. Members also wrote letters of thanks to military service men and women to be distributed over the Holidays.
A club Christmas party is schedule for Monday, December 13, 2010 at the United Methodist Church, starting at 6:30 pm. Members are asked to bring Christmas cookies and Christmas card for the evening activities. Family members are welcome to stay and participate.

Southern Pride 4-H Club
The Southern Pride 4H club gathered for their annual banquet on October 17, 2010 at the Saltillo Community Building.
Carrie Anderson opened with a welcome to everyone and announcements. The group was then lead in the pledges and prayer followed by a covered dish meal. The Shannon Cramer family donated roasted pork.
Award presentations were made. All 45 members of the club received certificates of participation. Some other awards given included Parent of the year (Angela Parsons), Outstanding Volunteer (Jessica Whitsel), 35 years of service (John Goshorn), Friend of 4H (Linda Miller of Precious Petals & gifts), and The 4H Golden Award (Katie Anderson).
Outstanding 4H awards were presented for Little Clover Girl (Jocelynn Whitsel), Little Clover Boy (Scotty Goshorn), Junior Girl (Elizabeth Scott), Junior Boy (Derrick Cramer), Senior Girl (Amanda Fisher), Outstanding Girl (Kalee Anderson), and Outstanding Boy (Dane Woodward).
The evening concluded with a slide show presentation of the club's accomplishments over the past year by Jessica Whitsel.

Raystown Rabbit Ranchers 4-H Club
At our recent meeting new officers where elected. They are President - Brooke Emery, Vice President - Michaela Smith, Secretary - Sarah Jefferis, Treasurer - Jesse Jefferis, Historian - William Emery & Paige Bousum, News Reporter - Emily Jefferis and Game Leaders - Jared Smith, Halee Smith and Jordin Harnish.
On October 17th the Raystown Ranchers along with friends and family went to JB Tree Farm for a fun filled afternoon. They went on a hay ride, walked through the corn maze and then roasted hot dogs and marshmallows over and open fire.
The next meeting will be Saturday, November 13, 2010.

The Capri Goat 4-H Club
On October 14th, 2016 at 7:00pm, the Capri Goat Club held there first meeting for the 2011 year. Election of club officers was initiated and will resume next meeting. We would like to welcome and invite anyone interested in goats to come join us. Our next meeting will be at the

Trough Creek Community Adventurers 4-H Club
The Trough Creek Community Adventurers 4-H Club participated in the Huntingdon Halloween Parade on Monday, October 25 and the Mt. Union Halloween Parade on Thursday, October 28, 2010. This years float theme was "Let your Pumpkin grow with 4-H". The float was decorated as a pumpkin patch with 4-H members dressing up as scarecrows to protect their pumpkins.

Southern Pride 4H has Busy Parade week
Members of Southern Pride 4H Participated in both the Mount Union and Three Springs Halloween parades. Members threw candy and glow-in-the dark bouncy balls to parade onlookers. The float was decorated in a farm theme. Members sat upon haybales and wore visors representing various types of animals found on the farm. The float was also decorated in green and white lights and included a miniature John Deere tractor and red barn. Large farm tractors driven by Curtis Starr and Dane Woodward followed the float in the Mount Union parade. Members attending one or both parades included the John Goshorn family, Jon Whitsel family, The Woodward family, Shannon Cramer family, Wayne Anderson family, Robyn Gaff family, Trevor Duvall, Taylor Maslanik, Brandon Beam, Gracie Long, and Shavonna Fegan.
